 No teachers in 16 Schools

As per the Rashtriya  Madhayamic Shiksha Abhijan(RMSA), survey for 2012 – 13, 16 schools in Tamil Nadu have no teachers at all.  These schools are there in district of Villupuram, Chennai, Vellore, Nilgiri and Coimbatore. 2253 schools have one one teacher.  195 schools are in this list in Krishnagiri.  There are 159 in Thiruvannamalai, 134 in Sivaganga, 127 in Vellore, 113 in Villupuram and 131 in Dharmapuri.

83641 students, including 765 in IX – XII study in single Teacher schools.

16421 schools have only 2 teacher.

The survey points are 21,931 sanctioned teacher posts is vacant in Tamil Nadu.

Selam, Kancheepuram & Thiruvannamalai are the district in Tamil nadu without large number of sanchtioned teacher vacant.
