NMIMS University held its convocation ceremony for three of its constituent schools

SVKM's NMIMS University held its convocation ceremony for its three constituent schools, School of Science (SOS), Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics (SAMSOE) and Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce (ASMSOC) recently. Ashu Suyash, CEO, L&T Mutual Fund and Professor Mustansir Barma, Director, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research were present at the event. Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor of NMIMS University conferred degrees upon students from different streams at the convocation ceremony.

Giving an overview of the progress made by the university, Saxena said Leadership is a quality which should be imbibed with values and ethics. Barma, while addressing the students, shared his experiences at TIFR and merits and demerits science has for individuals in life.

"I believe, management students should have a scientific outlook and look out for brighter opportunities to step forward in life," he said. Shah, an alumnus of the institute, said, "I congratulate the parents of the graduating batch. I also congratulate students for putting in great efforts and dedication. India is an Industrial destination which is looking forward for the innovation and ideas that this generation has for its growth. I think students who are the future managers should always remember that believing in yourself is the only way to make your dreams come true."
