SHUT DOWN OF - Indian Sign Language Research & Training Centre 

 

In less than 2 years of setting up of the I Indian sign Language Research & Training Centre for the hearing Impaired Plans would be made to shut it down. This is decided at indira Gandhi Open University.

When the students enrolled for the programmes, they were hold they would receive dual degree from IGNOU and its partner i United Kingdom. University of Lancashire (UCLAN). However, IGNOU, now back tracked saying the students would have to be satisfied with only UCLAN degree.

Recently after the students agitated, the VC would provide them with a certificate of participation.
