NIIT is the top IT training company 2009

Mumbai: NIIT, the leading Global Talent Development Corporation, has once again been conferred the ‘Top Training Company Award 2009’ by the country’s leading IT publication group Cybermedia, the publishers of Dataquest. NIIT has been receiving the coveted award successfully for the last 16 years since the magazine introduced this category.
 
On receiving the trophy at the award function organised by Cybermedia, in the capital, NIIT COO, P Rajendran, said, “We are really pleased to receive this award once again, and that our efforts to improve and bring about innovative solutions in IT training have been acknowledged across the industry.”
 
NIIT received the award for its talent development initiatives across the world, in the year 2008-09. In its annual IT industry survey, leading IT magazine, Dataquest, reports that NIIT has further strengthened its leadership position in the Indian IT training sector and is 1.5 times the combined revenue of the next four competitors. The Indian IT education market has grown by 13 per cent to reach Rs 3156 crore in FY 09, whereas e-learning grew 14 per cent with Rs 671 crore in the year. Within the IT training market, the individual training segment grew by 15 per cent to reach Rs 1357 crore and corporate training grew by 11 per cent to reach Rs 1799 crore.
 
Recently, NIIT’s innovative learning solutions received three awards in the Digital Learning India 2009 Awards category. NIIT was also honoured with the CIO 100 Award 2009 for exceptional work in IT leadership worldwide
