The Aligarh Muslim University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Wisconsin for Student Exchange Programme between the two universities for a period of three years.

While stating this here, an official spokesman of the AMU said that this MoU was signed yesterday by the AMU Vice Chancellor, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah and Prof. Paul DeLuca, Jr., Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Wisconsin University.

Gen. Shah, who is presently on a visit to the USA, visited the University of Wisconsin to work out the details for creating an "innovative partnership" with this University, the spokesman said.

This includes a programme for linking "academia, industry and the corporate world", he added.
