TN MBBS - Cut Off - Number of Seats

 Medical Council of India approved an additional 285 seats for 3 state run Medical Colleges.  This may result a reduction of Cut Off Marks of at least 0.5 - 1.25 marks probably.

MCI board approved 100 seats to Thiruvannamalai Medical College, an additional of 85 seats to MMC, (165 to 250) ( Madras Medical College).

The number of seats of Stanly Medical College increase to a tune of 100 seats.  Which resulted its total to be 250.

New Status has says the total number of MBBS seats in Tamil Nadu 2430.  One more Medical College included in Thiruvannamalai.  Now the total number of Colleges in Tamil Nadu is 19.

Increased in Total number   = 250

Total Number of Seats  = 2430

Madras Medical College = from 165 to 250

Stanly Medical College = from 150 to 250

Counselling

Total number of Seats                    = 2430

Less 15% All India                          = 2065 (Counselling)

11 Private Colleges (Govt Quota) =  838

Total Seats through counselling  = 2903

In single year 185 more seats are added by Govt.
