Eleven children, aged between 5 and 10 years, were taken ill today in Haryana's Fatehabad district after they consumed milk distributed by some local residents during a religious function.

The children, students of the Government Primary School number I, were taken to the hospital after they complained of vomiting and loose motions, a district official said.

Their condition is stated to be out of danger, he added.

A team of senior district officials, including Fatehabad Deputy Commissioner Rajiv Rattan, rushed to the hospital after the incident, he said.

No case has so far been registered in this connection and the sample of the milk has been sent for testing.
