PTC students distributed papers based on the old syllabus leading to widespread confusion

A large number of parents and students of Primary Teachers Certificate Course (PTC) submitted a goof up to the primary education department where students of the second year were given papers of the old course while the repeaters were given papers based on the new syllabus. This blunder led to large scale protests all over the state.


The primary education department had upgraded the syllabus of the second year PTC following the inclusion of class VIII in the primary schools. Till last year, primary schools were up to class VII only.

On Wednesday, students were in for a shock when they were distributed papers based on the old syllabus while the repeaters were distributed papers based on the new syllabus. This led to widespread confusion.
