TN governor advices state Council for Higher Education to examine the credibility of foreign institutions

Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah adviced the state Council for Higher Education to examine the credibility of foreign institutions, which have tie-ups and collaborative academic programmes with educational institutions in the state.

He has advised the Council, which is already engaged in handling 'Study Abroad Program,' to take up the issue of examining the credibility of foreign institutions that enter into tie-ups with higher education institutions in the state," a Raj Bhavan press release said.

The Governor has also directed the Council to periodically update the accreditation status reports on the credentials of such foreign institutions on the Council's website for the guidance of the state institutions and the student community.

The Governor is also the Chancellor of all government universities in the state.
