Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Bill will pave the path for establishing 3 private universities

A bill to establish three new private universities in the state will be tabled in the assembly next week. The Gujarat Private Universities (Amendment) Bill will pave the path for establishing Lakulish Yoga University in Ahmedabad, Team Lease Skills University-ITI at Tarsali in Vadodara, and CU Shah University in Wadhwan.

With these universities, the total number of private universities will go up to 13 in the state. The state government will also table the Gujarat Professional Technical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission And Fixation of fees) (Amendment) Bill, 2013, to allow admission to students from other states on vacant seats in professional and technical education colleges and institutions, besides centres of excellence.
