236 boys and 67 girls caught using unfair means in UP board examination

Thursday remained eventful during the ongoing High School and Intermediate examinations of UP Board as a total of 303 candidates, including 236 boys and 67 girls, were caught using unfair means in examination.

A series of FIRs were lodged by board authorities and Education department which shows how copying is carrying unabated.

In Agra, an FIR was lodged against centre in charge, 11 FIRs against centres in charge in Aligarh, 2 in Faizabad and 2 in Azamagarh.

The total number of examinees caught using unfair means on the ninth day rose to 1,808 but it is still below the 2,316 figure recorded last year.

Allahabad, the headquarters of UP Board, also tops the list with 61 copycats including 56 boys and 6 girls followed by Aligarh with 51 and Basti with 33 and Agra with 32.

On the ninth day of the ongoing UP Board examination on Thursday, Intermediate examinees appeared for the Military Science and Agriculture Botany second paper in the morning shift and those opting for Mathematics and Elementary Statistics appeared for the examination in the afternoon shift.

On the other hand, High School examinees wrote the Social Science exam in the morning shift.
