MKU appoints experts to set question papers to avoid compromise in quality

The Madurai Kamaraj University will not compromise on quality and has appointed experts to set question papers in various subjects, University Vice-Chancellor Kalyani Mathivanan has said.

Addressing the Academic Council meeting at the University here the VC said, "We have decided to seek the help of the specialists to set quality question papers if not tough question papers in future."

Students had been complaining frequently about mistakes in the question papers.

An eight-member committee had been constituted to oversee the question paper setting work, she said, adding,a full time principal/dean would be appointed for the University's evening college.

The university would organise National Service scheme camp from March 15-23.

The MKU, which had already got Centre of Excellence status, was now taking to steps to get renewal of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council certification from this year.
