Students find the first day CBSE exam easy

Around 42,350 students from the northeast on Friday appeared for the All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (AISSCE) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

"The students appeared for the English paper on Friday. All the questions were from the textbooks and those who have read the textbooks thoroughly will definitely do better," CBSE regional head K K Choudhury said.

There were no changes in the pattern of question paper this time, but like every year three sets of question papers were set to check cheating among students. He added, "The exam centres are selected very carefully. As per board's protocol, the centres should not be in busy areas as the noise distracts the students. After the exams, the respective centres send the copies of the answer scripts to the regional office by post.

"The paper was easy. I am expecting 90% in English. Usually, the board sets tricky questions, but this time the questions were from the textbook," said Ronak Bajoria, student.
