Findings and research output should reach common man without delay says Narayanasamy

Union Minister of State in PMO V Narayanasamy said research and scientific institutions should ensure that their findings and research output reached common man without delay.
 
"There should be no slow implementation of our findings in research organisations. Findings and output of scientists should not lie in the labs but should come out to the field to benefit common man` he said addressing a meeting of the staff and students of Pondicherry Central University after inaugurating the new premises of its library (annexe) and of departments of Electronic and Mass Communication and Centre for Bioinformatics constructed at a cost of Rs 19 crore.
  
He also called upon the universities both in the Central and state sector and privately managed institutions to play "effective role in skill development".
 
He said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is very keen to ensure development of skill and knowledge. A committee had also been constituted in this regard to promote skill, he said.
