Security to be tightened up in Maharshi Dayanand University

Updated on: Friday, January 25, 2013

The Maharshi Dayanand University administration has decided to beef up security measures for its girl students and women employees to ensure a safe and secure environment for them.

The measures will be an addition to the already existing arrangements like CCTV cameras in girls' hostels, Vice Chancellor R P Hooda said, adding any indiscipline in the campus will not be tolerated.

More efforts will be made to inculcate gender sensitivity among students and a dedicated programme for the purpose will soon be launched by the university, Hooda added.
