B.Ed admissions at Bharathidasan varsity

Tiruchi: Bharathidasan University has announced that candidates eligible to apply for admission to the B.Ed. programme offered through its Centre for Distance Education (CDE) according to the directions of the Department of Higher Education.

Candidates with under-graduation or post-graduation in Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Logic, and Indian Culture can apply, in addition to Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Computer Science, Home Science, Economics and Commerce.

Besides, the B.Ed. admission will be open to candidates with qualification in Applied Physics, Geo-Physics, Bio-Physics, Electronics, Bio-Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Plant-Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Environmental Science and Micro-Biology as well.

According to a press release issued here on Sunday by the CDE Director N. Baskaran, candidates who had completed their under-graduation after undergoing the Diploma in Teacher Education offered through the Education Department and universities were also eligible for admission to the B.Ed programme.

The last date for filled applications to reach CDE is September 18. An entrance test will be held on October 4, the release said.
