The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is likely to hold its next board meeting on December 28, 2012. According to the Sources, while the meeting will be held to discuss the institute's finances, the names of potential director for the premier business school will also be a part of the agenda.

"It will be a quarterly meeting to conduct a financial review and also to set aside a budget for the financial year 2013-14," said a source, adding, "The search committee formed to select the institute's new director will also present some names that it has shortlisted."

Outgoing director Samir Barua got a three-month extension in November following difference of opinion among the members of the selection committee over the choice of his successor. Barua's term as IIM-A director was to have ended on November 7. The search committee was expected to submit three names out of 11 shortlisted candidates for the esteemed post before September 28, 2012.
