Maharashtra Government decides to issue online caste validity certificates to students

Maharashtra Government has decided to issue online caste validity certificates to students from December 6.
 
Minister for Social Justice Shivajirao Moghe told this to reporters here. The programme will be launched at the hands of Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on December 6 in Mumbai.
 
"There are large number of applications, seeking caste validity certificates, pending at difference offices across the state and we have decided to start issuing caste validity certificates online to the students from December 6," Moghe said.
 
Another important decision taken by the state cabinet is special courts would be set up at all the six revenue divisions in the state to hear and dispose of the pending atrocity cases, Moghe said.
 
"The state government has also decided to celeberate the birth centenary of former Chief Minister Late Vasantrao Naik and the Marathwada Agriculture Univerity would be named after Naik," Moghe said.
