High Demand for tech courses in IP university

At the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and affiliated institutes, the engineering applications are in high demand and it has constantly proved to be popular among students till date.

Applications for B. Tech courses have doubled in the last two years, from 30,751 in 2006 to 62,090 in 2008 and the faculty retention rate is 95 per cent and placements are as good as can be expected during an economic slowdown.

'Earlier, local students had to go to other states in search of opportunity But with the availability of seats, the number of aspirants has also increased,' said B.V Reddy Dean, University .R. , School of Information Technology at GGSIP.

GGSIP has 15 engineering colleges affiliated to it,  updated syllabus and high quality labs  are prominent in all colleges. The Delhi College of Engineering and NSIT have better brand names and  get better placements.
