Kerala government forms two expert committees for the proposed revision of curriculum in schools

Kerala government has formed two expert committees for the proposed revision of the existing curriculum in schools.

The panel, chaired by former Mahatma Gandhi University Vice-Chancellor A Sukumaran Nair, had been asked to prepare a detailed report on the revision of the curriculum in schools and submit it to the government at the earliest, an official press release here said.

NCERT Director K A Hashim, Biodiversity Board Chairman Oommen V Oommen, former Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University Abdul Azeez and state school curriculum steering committee member Ramanunni are panel members.

Another panel to study the issues in the higher secondary sector would be headed by former TKM Engineering college principal P O J Labba. Educationists George Onakkoor and K G Sukumara Pillai are the members of the committee.

The NCERT would initiate the process of curriculum revision on the basis of the reports to be submitted by these panels, the release said.
