Students of GH Raisoni Institute of Information given a lesson on Corporate expectations

Students from the MBA department of GH Raisoni Institute of Information Technology were given a lesson in expectations that the corporates have of them. They were also taught some ways to acquire important soft skills that helps in their careers.

The occasion was the installation of the department's students' forum 'Genesis' in the presence of principal Mamta Muthal and head of the department AB Sasankar. Career consultants Hrishikesh and Amita Mulay of OutShine Training & Consulting presented a seminar on 'How students can prepare themselves for a corporate career' after the ceremony.

Giving an overview on what the corporate world expects from freshers, Amita told the students that they need to be armed with the right communication skills, attitude and ethics, practical exposure and behavioral competency along with a technical degree. She also gave them some practical tips on how to develop these skills during their academic years.

Hrishikesh told the students the importance of networking and knowing the right people. He encouraged them to use social networking sites for this purpose. He also told them how they could smarten their job search through the use of these digital resources.
