Ragging is a barbarous act, says Naik

Karimnagar:  Kakatiya University Ragging Monitoring Committee Chairman, Prof A Seetha Ram Naik today termed the ragging in colleges as a barbarous act and urged to stop this menace.

Speaking to media persons here he said that the maximum conviction for ragging is ten years imprisonment. The accused of ragging should be imposed a fine of Rs 2.5 lakh, he said.

He advised students not to indulge in such acts and loose their academic career.
The managements of the colleges to ban welcome and farewell parties in the colleges and also must constitute anti-ragging committees in their campuses to curtail menace of ragging.
