Accelerated MBA programme from my Bskool

During tough times, professionals are invariably placed in a bind. They need an MBA to get ahead on the corporate ladder, but can’t afford the time or the fees. The solution? Many are increasingly turning to courses that let them earn the degree in half the time, often at a fraction of the cost.

While accelerated MBA programs, offering a 12 month course, have been around for decades in Europe, India now has its own version – a “mini” MBA online course.

Swaminathan K, founder, myBskool.com believes that the opportunity cost of two years spent on acquiring an MBA degree is just too high.

“If you can’t crack the CAT or GMAT it just doesn’t make sense. What we at myBskool do is provide the online platform, and along with our tie-up Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, provide a six-month mini-MBA course,” Mr. Swaminathan said.

“ Students log in, listen to lectures with our near-instant streaming tech, and also have tests in between.

“This provides flexibility for professionals who are trying to upgrade their skills,” he said.
Joy of Giving Week

myBskool.com is also tying up with the ‘Joy of Giving’ corporate philanthropy week, which kicks off on October 2, and is planning to offer the mini-MBA course free of cost (compared to the regular fee of Rs. 8,000) to 10,000 non-governmental organisation workers across the country.

“What we found is that a lot of NGO workers needed helping in marketing, financial management and documentation in order to make a bigger impact on their ground operations, which we are going to help them out with,” he said.
