Round Table on Entrepreneurship called for giving emphasis on entrepreneurship education

 A Round Table on Entrepreneurship called for giving emphasis on entrepreneurship education from school level, creating multi-funding avenues for start ups and time bound regulatory clearances for new enterprises.
 
Prominent state government officials, entrepreneurs, industrialists, management experts from across the country addressed the Round table at the 'Emerging Kerala' meet here.
 
This is a follow up of the Workshop on Entrepreneur Friendly Emerging Kerala jointly organized by TiE and the Government of Kerala  earlier in the state capital.
 
K M Chandrasekhar, Vice Chairman, Planning Board, summing up the discussions said,‘We need to take pride in setting up our own enterprises. The Government can be only a facilitator in the process. This has already started happening around. And bureaucracy cannot help much in this.
  
Speakers also pointed out that barriers to entrepreneurship was more of a perception and prevailing culture.
  
Among prominent participants from the state Government who addressed the Round Table include KM Chandrasekhar, Dr B. Ashok, Director of Industries & Commerce, Kerala, V Rajagopal, CEO, K-Bip, Government of Kerala and G Vijayaraghavan, Member, Planning Board.
