A six-member team of volunteers of Scouts and Guides organisation from France camped for nearly a month in Puducherry to give a facelift to some schools and also an anganwadi centre in Puducherry.

Maridet Pierre, Kiley Sarah, Hamard Anaelle, Valentine de Larouziere, Maridet Pierre and Tronel Baptiste worked in tandem with the Kattabomman Youth Welfare Association this month for doing their social work, Association convener M.Bakthavatchalam told.

They cleaned the premises leading to a virtual makeover of the premises, Bakthavatchalam said.

The volunteers also handed over play materials to a good number of children of various anganwadi centres during their camp here.

The Association organised a function at Ariyankuppam yesterday where the volunteers were felicitated by local legislators and also leaders of various organisations.
