Goa government asks school teachers to be selective in attending workshops and seminars.

In order to prevent education of pupils from suffering, the Goa government has asked school teachers to be selective in attending workshops and seminars.

A circular issued by Director of Education D P Dwivedi said that teachers including headmasters and principals should not attend seminars without permission from superiors. "It has been noted that headmasters, vice principals and principals leave schools to attend some training, function or seminar without permission from their  superiors," the circular said.

The circular has reserved the rights to let teachers attend workshops or seminars. "The school will have to take prior permission from the department before deputing their teachers," the circular said.
