Seats in the state-aided intermediate colleges and schools to be increased

Education Minister P K Shahi Replying to a question by JD(U) MLA Daud Ali in the legislative assembly said it has been decided to increase the number of seats in the state-aided intermediate colleges and schools to ensure that all those passing matriculation examination get admission in intermediate colleges/schools.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has been directed to increase number of seats in intermediate schools and colleges to accomodate all matriculation pass-outs, he said.

However, the number of seats to be increased in the institutions will be decided later by the Principal Secretary (Education) and the BSEB Chairman.
