PG courses in Medical college in Pondy

The Puducherry government run Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute will soon start PG courses to enable graduates have the PG facility automatically, chief minister N Rangasamy said here.

Stating this while handing over letters of admission to 105 students (third batch), including NRI candidates joining the medical college after selection by the Centalised Admission Committee, he said graduate doctors should be prepared to serve in rural areas.
  
"The poor and underprivileged should not be devoid of medical care" he said.
   
Education Minister T Thiagarajan was also present on the occasion.
