AICTE to legalise one year MBA programme

Mumbai:The AICTE, has decided to approve one year MBA programme.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has decided to amend its Act drawn up in 1987 to approve one year MBA programme, which was not recognized till date.

Without the recognition from AICTE, the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad and Great Lakes School of Business in Chennai backed by the industrial house Godrej offers a one-year full-time postgraduate programme in management .

Across the world the one yaer MBA course has fetched great recognition, following this industrial houses approached Prime Minister's Office to amend the AICTE Act.
