Sixth convocation of Thanjavur Tamil University duly conducted

Tamil Nadu Governor K.Rosaiah presided over over the sixth convocation of the Thanjavur Tamil University here.   

Some 3398 students were conferred degrees on the occasion.
  
Thirukural by saint-poet Thiruvalluvar would be translated into all languages like the Bible,  Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Chairman R.Natraj said.
   
M.Thirumalai, Vice Chancellor of Tamil university, said there were 1,47516 books in its library.
   
Thirukural is being translated into Chinese, besides works of poets Subramania Bharati and Bharathidasan, he said.
   
School Education Minister N.R.Sivapathi was also present.
