College building and residential quarters complete at the AIIMS

The Bihar government has written to the Union Health Ministry for permission to start the academic session from August, with the college building and residential quarters complete at the AIIMS here, a central government project.
 
Bihar Health minister Ashwani Chaube said, the Centre has been requested to issue notification for admission of 100 MBBS students for the session.
 
The minister, who wrote to his union counterpart Ghulam Nabi Azad, said undergraduate medical students of AIIMS will do their practicals at the 300-bed Guru Govind Singh hospital in Patna city.
 
He made an inspection of the campus infrastructure and said provision of electricity, water, roads for medical students was satisfactory.
 
The AIIMS hospital building is under construction and expected to be functional next year, he said.
