CBI has charged three Private Medical collges with irregularities in obtaining recognition from the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Apart from irregularities like inadequate infrastructure, lacking proper faculties, the CBI have also found out that Sathya Sai Medical College, Kanchipuram, Aadhi Parasakthi Medical College and Lakshmi Narayanan Medical college, Puducherry channelised doctors from outside providing fake identity cards, a CBI charge sheet said.

Among these colleges, Aadhi Parasakthi Medical College comes under the ambit of Dr. M.G.R Medical University which has now created problems for the forth coming general counselling for medical seats. However, nobody has come forward to provide any details regarding this.

Medical Council of India (MCI) officials told that they had not received any formal intimation whether CBI had filed a complaint or had taken any actions, regarding these irregularities.
