Kendriya Vidyalaya donates to IDF

Students and teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya (II), Madambakkam, donated Rs. 2.01 lakhs to Indian Development Foundation (IDF), formerly known as India Leprosy Foundation. IDF is a voluntary organisation committed to health, education and development. It is a self-reliant NGO, mobilising resources through voluntary donations from the public and educational institutions for promotional activities.

Students and teachers of the school recently handed over a cheque to the tune of Rs. 2.01 lakhs to IDF at a function held in school premises. Siva Kamakshi, social ambassador of IDF, was the chief guest.

Certificates were given to students for their contribution. R. Rajammal was the chief coordinator for this programme. M. Vellaichamy, Principal, and S. Sreeram, Deputy Manager, IDF, also spoke.
