TET postponed due to work incompletion

Updated on: Wednesday, May 30, 2012

The scheduled TET on June 3 is postponed to July 12 Due to incomplete works like preparation of question papers, hall tickets, correction of wrong applications.

Earlier, Teacher Recruitment Board had made an announcement on March 7 that the Teacher Eligibility Test would be held on June 3.

Candidates had earlier made repeated requests to the Govt. as well as the Teacher Recruitment Board to postpone the examination, as they had very less time to prepare for the TET since they were also appearing for other exams during that period of time.

Looking into this, the Govt. has decided to postpone the exam to July 3 that falls on a Govt. working for which it is making elaborate alternative arrangements, the release stated.

Enquiring about this issue in detail, on the board side, departmental sources say that the hall ticket and questions papers itself werent ready. Further more, taking into consideration of 40,000 improperly filled applications need to be properly furnished. Overlooking these problems would later lead into lot of trouble.

Hence to Give the candidates sufficient time to prepare for the exam and also rectify the mistakes found in the application form, the date has been postponed to July 12.
