SC students doing professional courses to get financial assistance

Department of Adi Dravidar Welfare launched "Dr B R Ambedkar Financial Assistance" to those SC students joining professional colleges after getting selection through Centralized Admission Committee during the 2012-2013 academic year.
 
As part of the programme, the government had framed rules to provide financial assistance for SC students doing professional courses in institutions offering medicine, engineering, dental, veterinary, B. Pharmacy, nursing, agriculture, teacher education, Law or PG course in Business Administration, Computer application and any other course notified by the government from time to time, an official press relese said.
 
The scheme was aimed at assisting students belonging to SC caste and joining the courses after selection by Centralized Admission committee, it said.
