UP govt to extend all help in setting up AIIMS at Rae Bareli

The Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh said it was ready to extend all possible help to set up an All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Rae Bareli, parliamentary constituency of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
 
Providing high quality medical services to the people of the state is among the priorities of the government and it is willing to extend every type of support to the Centre in setting up of an AIIMS, an official spokesman said.
 
He said MLA from Saraini in Rae Bareli Devendra Pratap Singh has submitted a proposal to the Chief Minister to provide 114-acre land in Chanda village for the project.
 
The spokesman said while the MLA has mentioned availability of 50.31 acre government land, he has submitted consent letters of farmers for another 63.4 acre land.
 
He said the Sub-Divisional Magistrate had submitted his report to the District Magistrate Rae Bareli regarding identified land.
 
The spokesman said MLA from Bachrawan Ramlal Akela has also said about availability of land in his constituency for setting up of AIIMS.
