R. Sriram, a Standard X student of Vidya Vikasini Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Thudiyalur, got the highest score in computer skills in the State in the International Assessment for Indian Schools. R. Kishore Karthe, a Standard XI student of S.B.O.A. Matriculation and Higher Secondary School, emerged the State topper in Mathematics.
The assessment was conducted by Educational Assessment Australia, University of New South Wales Australia and Macmillan India Limited.
As many as 1,82,248 students in Standards III-XII from 2,044 schools from countries including India, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Maldives, Mauritius, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates took part in the assessment.
Students from 38 schools in Tamil Nadu were awarded the EAA-Macmillan Medal, a release said.
