Transgenders can avail educational grants

Chennai: Transgenders can apply through the District Social Welfare Officer for educational grants

Transgenders cant be denied from obtaining educational grants. Now the education grant for transgenders in schools will be routed through the welfare board set up for them, a release issued here on Friday said.

Transgenders who want to avail the facility could apply for the grant through the District Social Welfare Officer or the Commissioner, Social Welfare.
