Symposium organised

A two-day symposium, ‘Forschen 09,’ was organised at Sethu Institute of Technology, Kariapatti, recently.

It was inaugurated by S. R. Nagaraj, senior scientist, Indian Space Research Organisation.

The chairman, S. Mohammed Jaleel, presided. The Principal, A. Senthil Kumar, offered felicitations. Mr. Nagaraj, said that India, which was earlier dependent on countries like Russia to launch satellites, had now gone many steps ahead with the success of Chandraayan I. Now many countries wished to collaborate with India in space research. Student secretary Ajay Praveen Chordia welcomed the gathering. Helina Rajini Suresh explained the objectives of the seminar.

Students should pursue post-graduate education or hone their skills to equip themselves better for employment, said M. Chidambaram, Director, National Institute of Technology, while delivering the fourth Graduation Day address at K.L.N. College of Information Technology.

Dr. Chidambaram distributed degree certificates to 177 graduates on the occasion. K.N.K. Ganesh presided. S.V.S. Shivnath proposed a vote of thanks.
