School Education Minister N.R. Sivapathy told the Assembly on Tuesday that the State government is considering action against Mount Saint Joseph Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Tiruvannamalai, where ‘organised' copying in the SSLC public examination came to light on Monday.

Replying to a calling attention motion in the House, the Minister said seven teachers who had distributed photocopies of answers to students had been suspended and now the government was considering action against the school.

The Minister said the school was one of the 70 examination centres in the district and as many as 763 students, 284 of the school, wrote their examination there.
