Lecturer vacancies to be filled by West Bengal

Updated on: Wednesday, March 28, 2012

School Education Minister Bratya Basu said, the West Bengal government would soon fill up vacancies for the posts of lecturers in all the colleges across the state.

Basu, replying to a question-answer session in the state assembly, said not only lecturers but the vacant posts of principals would also be filled up.

The posts would be filled through the College Service Commission.

Basu, however, said part time teachers could not be inducted on full time basis as there are legal issues involved.

Full time teachers were required to clear State Level Eligibility Test (SLET).
