High learning centre at CIPET

Union Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister MK Alagiri inaugurated a High Learning Centre at the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology here.

Alagiri said, the High-Learning Centre would offer Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses and will be equipped with modern machinery to benefit students. He added that it was constructed on par with global standards.
 
Efforts were on to grant university status for CIPET, he said.
 
K Jose Cyriac, Union secretary of Chemicals and Petrochemicals and President, CIPET Governing council, said the centre will undertake technology support services in the areas of plastic processing, testing and quality control.
