Updated on: Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam asked students to insist that their parents do not indulge in corruption, stressing the point that "charity begins at home",

Dr Kalam delivered a lecture on "what science can give you" at the Holkar Science College here.

He said."A strong Lokpal bill will come, criminals would be sent to jails, one day jails would be filled up, and then we will need homes, beautiful homes, so why not begin from home?".

During an interaction with the students, he said, "If they are indulging in corruption, ask your parents to stop...that is the solution."

He also advised the teaching faculty and researchers to find ways for convergence of local languages in science education.
