Beautician course for rural women

The Puducherry Government as part of its skill development programme is launching a beautician course targeting educated rural women

Official sources said the course would be launched on March 26 by Labour Minister P.Rajavelu and 30 women would undergo the crash training programme lasting five days,
  
This training was in keeping with the current trend in employment sector, they said.
 
The skill development programme, launched by the Labour Department in 2009, had enabled rural women to emerge as proficient entreprenerus after undergoing intensive training in several self-employment projects, an official source said.
  
So far around 200 rural women had benefited from the project which offers training in photo lamination, toy making, production of jute based products and embroidery among others.
