Poor students receive financial aid from Collector

To motivate students the Vellore  district administration has extended financial assistance to students hailing from poor families to pursue higher studies.

The district Collector C. Rajendran distributed financial aid to two engineering students who got admissions under merit quota in Thant Perilla Government Institute of Technology (TPGIT) in Velor.

The district collector issued a cheque of Rs 11,240 from the district welfare fund, also directed the district social welfare department to arrange hostel facility at free of cost.
