Shiv Nadar University partners with Babson College for business courses

Shiv Nadar University, entered into a partnership with US-based Babson College to start special courses in business entrepreneurship. The University was founded by HCL Technologies founder Shiv Nadar.

US News & World Report has ranked Babson College's MBA program No. 1 for 19 consecutive years. Roger Enrico, former Chairman, PepsiCo; William D Green, CEO, Accenture are some of the notable entrepreneurs from Babson College.

Shiv Nadar University, Vice-Chancellor Nikhil Sinha, announcing the partnership, said that the entrepreneurship-focused management programs at UG and PG levels will help students in developing special skills to start their own ventures in fields like IT which holds vast opportunity.

Leonard A Schlessinger, President, Babson College, said their coming to India was part of the institution's motto to diffuse knowledge across the globe.

He said that Babson has many Indian students on its roll who are doing very well, and starting a specialised course in partnership with the Shiv Nadar University will help develop business skills suitable to the local conditions. India will be the ninth destinations where Babson will be partnering with a local educational institution for providing entrepreneurial course.

The three entrepreneurship-focused management programmes includes Bachelors of Business Administration(BBA), Babson College Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and MS in Entrepreneurship. According to Sinha all programs will commence in 2013.     
Shiv Nadar University will issue a degree to students completing the programme successfully.and a certificate from Babson College will be issuing a certificate to the successful students.
 
The partnership also paves the way for the Shiv Nadar Foundation's membership to the Global Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education (GCEE) of which Babson College is the founding member, Sinha said.
