Meira Kumar stressed upon promoting education among the girls

Ms Kumar, Lok Sabha speaker stressed upon the need to promote education among the girls, while expressing her views on education among the girls during 14th convocation of Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies.

She insisted that Early marriages should be discouraged to spread education among the girls, who play an important role in formation of the society. Besides,she said, they should be prepared to face all the challenges in their lives.

She also addressed the 94th convocation of Banaras Hindu University and handed over degrees to as many as 8213 students.
