Rs 200 crore grant demanded from Centre

The teachers belonging to Haryana Agriculture University has demanded the centre to enhance the grant from 50 crore to 200 crore for strengthening its research work.

Haryana Agriculture University Teachers Association (HAUTA) president Kamal Dutt Sharma said, “The grant of Rs 50 crore is not according to the status and contribution of HAU to the farming community.” “HAU is contributing directly to the state's economy as well as economic well being of the hard working farming community of the state. Keeping in view of these facts, HAU deserves a bigger grant of Rs 200 crore,” he said.

HAUTA executive appealed to the Union Government to enhance the grant to Rs 200 crore to sustain the agriculture production of the state, generation of new agricultural technologies, innovations in the interest of the farming community of the state.
