Schools in Nepal to be built by India

Embassy of India and Shri Janajukta Shahi Secondary School, Tanahu signed a Memorandum of Understanding for providing assistance of NRs 3.21 crore (Rs 2 crore) for construction of a three-story building for the school under Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Programme, according to an Indian Embassy statement. The new building being constructed under Indian assistance will help in creating better facilities for over 500 students, about half of whom are girls, the release said.


This is the third development project in the Tanahun District being undertaken with Government of India's grant assistance under Small Development Projects.

Works are under progress for two projects in Tanahun District at a cost of NRs 2.54 crore. Four ambulances have also  been gifted to various organisations for use in Tanahun District.
