Thrust on quality education in HP

The chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. P.K.Dhumal asked the teaching communityto improvine the quality of education and make the state an education hub.
Speaking at the  annual prize distribution function of the government girls' college here he said that the state has made big strides in expansion of education and now it was time to shift focus to quality education.
 
private institutions and private universities were being encouraged to  to make education available to students at their doorstep.  A regulatory commission has been set up to oversee the function of private institutions of higher education.
  
Dhumal said 20,000 posts of teachers in various categories had been filled while the process was on to fill 5,000 more posts.
